About Living Jungle

Whale of a Time is supporting the rainforest via our project Living Jungle. We need to do something to help protect the world's rainforests, which are rapidly being destroyed, and 2011 has been declared by the UN as the International Year of Forests. Living Jungle provides you with an opportunity to do something very practical about this. We are inviting donors to purchase primary growth rainforest that is available for sale and linked to a nearby project that will ensure its protection.

You can also get involved in our rainforest protection initiative which seeks to protect rainforest, but with the added twists as follows:

• Linked to existing eco-tourism or sustainable economic projects run by local people in the rainforest.
• Get more involved than simply by giving.
• This is a unique opportunity to visit and participate in activities whilst there.

This goes beyond most rainforest donation schemes and offers to get personally involved in local sustainable projects through such things as going on expeditions, volunteering in animal rescue centres, helping replant the rainforest, supporting local communities, developing permaculture projects and so many other ways.
